Non-biodegradable plastic bottles cannot be reused? - Think again!!

After you completed your last sip of your favorite soft drink in the "banana shaped" plastic bottle, you will be "freely" advised by your friends, family and all other well wishers to throw up in the dust bin.  Have you ever asked them the reason why?  When I did, I got the answer as it is a "non-biodegradable" plastic waste and cannot/should NOT be re-used.

Sounds familiar? Even when you try to preserve it like a "frozen" chapathi/roti in foreign land, you will surely bring wrath of the "eco-green" conscious well wishers and advised NOT to do such "childish acts".

Well, some one from MIT heard you probably and found a way to convert those "precious bottles" of yours into reusable "Solar" Bulbs.  I heard you saying "what??!!". If you had the same reaction of asking "what" with two or more question marks and similar counts of exclamation marks on your face, proceed ahead to read more about this interesting videos and innovation.

A.R.Rahman's Magic

I got an interesting forward this morning and I could NOT quite get hold of what is happening with that youtube video, may be I was still NOT awake from my Sunday morning sleep. But once I realized what is happening, I was quite astonished with the way the video went on.

Yes, the title of today's blog is quite relevant to what I am referring here. I guess I feel very proud to share this you tube with the original song of A.R.Rahman and the version I saw this morning. When I first heard the original song, it did NOT make such an impact when I heard it sung by an American choir professionals. American Chorus singing?? Go ahead and see this video..

Heard of Critical Thinking - Here are some samples for you..

You would have definitely heard about Lateral thinking. But how about critical thinking?

According to wiki pages, the definition goes as "reasonable reflective thinking focused on deciding what to believe or do". It is basically a "thinking about thinking" especially questioning related to the critical social theories. :)

I got this following forward which I found interesting this morning which exactly provided the samples I needed to understand critical thinking. Here you go:

Want to build effective presentation - Think Concept Mapping...

This morning, I got one of the interesting video forward on how you can make effective Business Presentation, or more of articulating your concepts into the business ideas. It was apparently called Concept Mapping Technique.

I know of the Mind Mapping technique which I found to be effective in most of the brainstorming sessions. However, the Concept Mapping looked definitely different in more than one way.

Here is the sample image I got for the Concept Map from the Google images and it apparently can be applied even for our day to day activities, how? proceed further to see more..

2.Type "do not see idiots movie" and translate to tamil
3.And the result is Amazing roll roll

Seeing the results, I am pretty much impressed on two counts:
1. Google Translation page really works wonder in translating not only the words but the intention of the user translating the words :)
2. Someone really from Tamilnadu codes for the Google translation page who is completely averse or biased of the leading tamil film actor.

Cement Connection with Madame Tussauds

Hello All,

Before I start, please check out the below picture. What do you see unique on them? Guesses please..

No..no. Nothing related to the rumor that Tamilnadu Government has changed the dates of Pongal to April-14th!!

Well if you are like me, NOT sure about the unique feature, here is the fact about the picture: I am sure you would have heard about the Wax museum, pretty commonly heard term if you have some globetrotter friends. However have you heard about Cement Museum and that too in India? Believe me All statues are made out of CEMENT which is difficult than that of making in wax. It is tougher than Wax yet the following pictures you would see are more natural than the Wax counterparts are.
There are much more samples if you would like to proceed ahead.
