I am a avid reader of www.vikatan.com though I kind of hate their web page verses the physical page versions. This evening when I tried reading my favourite Nanayam vikatan, both mozilla firefox and Google chrome, it threw me a "Site attack" message and when I browsed through I learnt that it has 31 pages which had 12 different trojan horses (no..no. not that horse in that marina beach!!) and other kind of malwares (no..definitely not a shopping mall!!).
While I don't think vikatan does it for the monetary benefit, but I tend to think that "காய்ந்த பழம் தானே கல்லடி படும் !!" , in raw tamil to english translation, "Only the ripened fruit gets the blow". Any good translations that you can think of??
Talking about the same, I get awed whenever I read the vikatan on how these guys are managing to get 190 page full of contents (yeah!! well., it is 130+ pages if you can remove the sleazy pictures, advertisements and pro-DMK cover stories) and 50+ pages of sensational journalism in the form Junior Vikatan in almost every 5 and half days. All the other journals of them can probably be prepared 1 month in advance, as I could think about 'em. Yes, I hear you, they are professionals!!
If they are so professionals, they would find a way to get out these "site attacks" too!!!??

Dear Anonymous,
ReplyDeleteThanks for notifying the error. I am an "Avid" reader of vikatan!! I don't know how I picked up the word, "vivid" though!! :) probably a "transmogrification" effect on the words..
